Apologies for the delayed update – I have some good and bad news… We came back from China with the factory going on a 5-day annual holiday and things were on track for them to ship the first batch of chairs between 22nd and 29th October. Unfortunately, on their return there was a problem with the over-molding process of the seat pads and we and they have been working 24/7 to get it sorted.
95% of the chairs are ready and waiting and we think we’ve resolved the problem, but we’re going to have to wait to get the finished article sent over and be tested before we can give them the go ahead to make all of yours.
We should receive the samples next week and all being well will start shipping a few weeks later. We are going to ship in batches as soon as they are ready and they’ll take 2-3 weeks to get to the US and 4-5 weeks to get to the UK.
We’ll send them out in as close to number order as possible and we hope that the first people will get theirs in December and the last by the end of January. After all this work we just can’t afford to send you chairs we’re not 100% happy with.
The good news is that Jus, our quality control guy, was totally amazed by the consistency and quality of all the parts of the chair. We also got the production line set up and the packaging sorted. I know it’s frustrating, but we are so close – one last push and we’ll be there.
Below are some pics of our quality control processes and our beautiful packaging.
