Over the last few weeks we’ve been focused on dealing with some production and testing issues to mean we can get your chairs out to you and the first batches are finally arriving at our warehouses in the UK and US.

Final production

I’ve been busy getting sorted for our trip to China to oversee the final production of your chairs. The first batch of chairs arrive at the UK port on 16th of January (despite the ship crashing-seriously!), will be in customs for 5 days and then will be coming out to the first lucky people 2-4 days after that. So before the end of January.

The next batch should be ready for checking (by myself and Dean, our lead engineer) this Tuesday 13th Jan and hopefully ready for shipping Friday or Monday and will be at their destinations approximately 5 weeks after that.

The Good, The Bad and The Beautiful…

Apologies for the delayed update – I have some good and bad news… We came back from China with the factory going on a 5-day annual holiday and things were on track for them to ship the first batch of chairs between 22nd and 29th October. Unfortunately, on their return there was a problem with the over-molding process of the seat pads and we and they have been working 24/7 to get it sorted.

The first production chairs are being made now

It’s looking really good out here. The programme for the next week has been set and we’re on track to bring you your magnificent chairs. Here are some pics I took yesterday of components for the first run that Dean and I are overseeing (Dean arriving on Monday at 6am!). They are being polished over the weekend and we will be working with the production team to get the assembly and quality right.
