It’s looking really good out here. The programme for the next week has been set and we’re on track to bring you your magnificent chairs. Here are some pics I took yesterday of components for the first run that Dean and I are overseeing (Dean arriving on Monday at 6am!). They are being polished over the weekend and we will be working with the production team to get the assembly and quality right. Notice the vacuum-formed trays that protect them during the assembly process after they’ve been polished.
Geson (our project manager) is even more OCD than I am and has refused parts that I would have accepted. Add to that that the President of the companies making the chair treats me like a friend (went out and bought me a Samsung Galaxy to use in China!) has a knock on effect of bringing everyone up to their best performance and it’s just getting better and better.
If you read my previous update you’ll know about the present my wife bought for Geson’s daughter. Here are some more pics form when they went to pick up her Mum, who’s a nurse in the local hospital…
So there you have it. Good times. Getting there. I’ll be back in a few days.
Many thanks for your continuing support, Simon
P.S. For those wanting to know about delivery dates – some will be shipped in two weeks and will go to the first 150 in England and the rest will be shipped to the US and UK in separate containers on the 22nd Oct. The US will take about two weeks on the water and in customs, and the UK will be four weeks. So they should be with everyone by the end of November.
